about Mollie Dickson

“You’ve always had the power, my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself,” Glinda, The Wizard of Oz.

Mollie is a licensed clinical mental health associate (LPC-A), who has a masters in journalism and a masters in clinical mental health with specialty in trauma.
Combining a love of writing with a passion for mental health, Mollie utilizes Trauma Informed Care, EMDR, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness to meet each client’s individual needs. She works with each client to develop a healing plan, specifically designed for their goals.

She specializes in helping clients process trauma and recover from substance abuse disorders.  She works with survivors of domestic violence, coercive control, childhood abuse, sexual abuse as well as those suffering from anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, suicidal ideation, grief, co-dependence, and ADD-HD.

EMDR is available for clients who find they can not “shake-off” the past, as it continues to live in the present. EMDR allows clients to move through their trauma and put it where belongs, in the past. Trauma is not your fault, but healing is your responsibility.
As a therapist, Mollie offers a safe, compassionate, solution-oriented space for all clients to recover and reclaim their lives.

In her spare time Mollie enjoys traveling, friends, family, walking on the beach, yoga, cooking and exploring Charleston’s history.
